here goes:

i had VBulletin installed at one location and everything was running well. however, i changed my host and wanted to transfer my database. i couldn't think of any way to do it as i'm not the greatest when it comes to these things but i tried looking in the admin CP for anyways of backing up things but i couldnt find it.

so, i installed VBulletin from a fresh in the new hosting location (which i dont know whether it was the right thing or not) and now i was wondering if there were ways of transferring the "members" "threads" "posts" "skins" etc separately?

what's the best thing for me to do?

vBulletin.com has full documentation on how to transfer from host a to b.
I suggest doing that rather then having to bother to use impex.

sure.
and, impex? heh.

also, do you know the exact link to that document?

This would go beyond low level support. You can get all the free support through vbulletin.com as a licensed member.

impex is inhouse developed software by jelsoft to import from other forums, including vbulletin version 2 & 3.

What's the URL to your forum, if I may ask?
