Really Urban75 is a great site- best one I've posted on for range of topics and debate. Might check out others on the list of nominations but U75 has felt like home for some time :)

nah, you start off with 10 by default. when i tested this on a test site each 'approval' upped your reputation. can't remember if you can set it so that you need x approvals in order to gain a point.

this is a great way to test out these features! all hell would break loose on urban if we suddenly introduced reputations. :D

btw, what do peeps think of the home page of this site? it's something i've tried out for urban. it can be tweaked any number of ways without disrupting the forums. there's also an entire portal system that extends vbulletin - the front looks like the home page here but admins can add categories and pages and galleries etc.. a lot more work than just the home page though.

re. reputations on urban, the first time i was in urban's raw database i noticed that fridgemagent had awarded himself about 10million points... tsk tsk :D
