Have you your own vbulletin style or do you buy one ?

For the moment I have my own vbulletin style on my forum !

Actually I have quite a few of them and I'm currently developing more for the usage on my skins site :)

I bought mine. I'm sure I'll buy more, or have one custom made in the future.

I have purchased quite some styles in the past, just to learn how to work the templates out in vBulletin, comparing how it all sticks together and how others worked it out.

At this moment I have created quite some custom styles for many web sites and I have settled down and only do a style that I sell for everybody interested. It gradually improves at each new version of vBulletin and hopefully has a solid future.

Busy to find out how to create my own style and will add that to my forum and website. Hope in a few weeks to show something, I am a newbee about vBulletin but have a lot of experience with different forums... ;)

My "Default Style" is custom, but is based from a bought site template that I had from templatemonster.com

My "White Style" is also custom, but again is based from a friend's site template that I had permission to use.

Mine is currently an easy custom skin, I have the Professional skin that I won here and haven't used it anywhere yet (but will). I have just took apart vbAdvanced cmps and recoded it to have it's own look and feel on my test site and did a custome forum skin for someone as well. I love this stuff...

Good news for you, the 1.3 version is now final. We are internally testing to see if I made a stupid mistake while packing it up. Then I will goto bed and publish it when I wake up with an announcement :)

Unfortunately all of my styles are canned because (a) my graphic skills are non-existent and (b) it's not in my budget to hire a professional for a custom job so my choices are limited. :(

I have my own, have made about 12 skins so far for myself and a few clients. I personally think that skinning vbulletin is very easy, but the hard part is to get a good clean design made.

The only vB skin I've ever bought is the Professional Style ;)

I use the sensational ProStyle (and a couple of custom variations of) on my forums. But I am now building my first style. It is a lot more work than I had at first thought so who knows when it will be ready.

Currtly all my styles are paid for but i plan to remove most of them soon as i'm very close to finishing a full metal alchmest style and once thats done I hope to start work on coding a pixel style that i think i posted a preview of someplace here.

I've got two themes running... There's the standard (http://www.envynews.com/forums/?styleid=1) style, based on the stock theme with some changed icons. Then there's my EN4 theme (http://www.envynews.com/forums/?styleid=9) that's the same thing recolored to be easier on my eyes. I can't take credit for the header or post/thread/forum icons; the header was done in-house and I found the icons on vb.org.

We're getting ready to clean it all up and start from scratch. We've got a full site redesign coming, and I'm going to buy/have made a forum skin that matches the new main site scheme.

I do not have a custom style for my forum as of now. But I know someone who makes some pretty good custom styles and am thinking about asking him to make me a style for my forum(this is a paying job of course) but I do not know as of now if I really need one(my forum is still pretty small)

I do like playing with them, though, and I have more work ahead of me! :D
