I have heard it is quite the bandwidth hog... Reeve of Shinra 18th August 2004, 07:25 AM I think that depends on the kind of site you have. If you have alot of attachments and a very heavy graphic style, then it will use more than a less graphic heavy forum. I think that vb saves bandwidth though with its advanced template cacheing. Floris 30th August 2004, 04:41 PM I have run IPB and phpBB and tForum, and so far, vBulletin has been the most efficient one in caching active posts and reoccuring information and .css as files and optimized layout, etc. The first months after converting to vBulletin, it saved us traffic. Aros 1st September 2004, 03:32 AM I've been using it for 3-4 years now I think, it's very good and fast. Lord Brar 1st September 2004, 03:48 AM For about a month and I can already not live without it :D rjerina 1st September 2004, 06:38 AM I have been using vB for a little less than a month now, and I must say I have fallen in love with it. In my opinion it is WAY better than phpBB and Invision will ever be. The only thing I wish is that it had a larger more organized database of styles to choose from! Tony 1st September 2004, 09:08 AM Been involved with vBulletin since 2001, and got more into them by about 2002. HiDeo 1st September 2004, 12:22 PM I've been using it for 1 years Sniper 1st September 2004, 07:38 PM I've been using it for 2 years plus now with a leased license! but gona get owned license this time! Laddil 2nd September 2004, 05:33 PM I've been using it about a year, had some stability issues that were traced to the server itself (Yay! Not vB's fault), Still love it =) DarkWarriorXII 2nd September 2004, 06:00 PM I've only been using it for a couple weeks and I think it's worth every penny so far! I can actually figure out how to create my own styles with VB. IPB made it too difficult for a skinning noob like me to figure out how to create styles. Floris 8th September 2004, 05:13 AM I've been using it for 2 years plus now with a leased license! but gona get owned license this time! 2x $85 and investing into $160 for a owned. (This is why I immediatly got the owned one hehe) ouzo 8th September 2004, 11:20 PM I've been using it for about a year and I'm really happy to have made the right choice. Especially since VB3 has gone Gold this is the forum to chose when professional software is needed. |
