View Full Version : Screwed up vbulletin 3.0.1 Files

Well, after a bit of messups with arcade and stuff like that, the usergroups for my forums are screwed up, whenever I try to access the admin usergroup, and edit it, it says invalid group specified. Also, no changes are saved when I do them, to other usergroups.

Can I overwrite all the files with clean vb3.0.1 files, and redo all the hacks? Because I want to keep my posts, threads, and member database. Or if its the case of the usergroups, should I only replace the file? (whichever file it is)

Thank you,

Try this on your test installation first, but:

Make a complete backup of your database, do a clean install of 3.01 (and apply all security fixes from 302 and 303) - and restore the database.

mmkay, I finally gave up and upgraded to vbulletin 3.0.3. Seems to be working fine, though I have to fix some templates. Thanks for all your help :)
