It did me....I was afraid I'd break something..lol...Of course I came from places like ezboard and so on...the only other I had actually used was phpBB...

lol, I know what you're talking about, I was like, Soo many options, it took a few minutes, and some help from friend to setup CATEGORIES, and skins & templates. But now, I'm grateful for the features and flexiblity.

ahhh i remember switching from the superb phpBB to vBulletin, i didn't have a clue what i was doing since i was new to running a website at the time aswell. It came on me quickly so it wasn't that hard. The most annoying point was vB2 to vB3 ACP, they look nearly the same but everything had moved and it took me ages to find th right thing :)

Same as zachery. No complications with dev board and such, since I was sure I knew what I was doing :)

I was kinda scare to do anything in mine but I had someone to help me out and he told me to stay out and leave it alone LOL just kidding , he didn't tell me to say out. I've learned a lot with his help

The CP was pretty straightforward when I first saw one for vBulletin version 1. My knowledge of it just grew from there.

Yes, it scared me and it is still scaring :p. I think it has to many options for me to use. When there is egg. a forum permission wrong you must look in the group permissions and user permissions. So it takes a lot of time to set the forum permissions right :) But its also nicer because if you need that future :) it doesn't need hacking :p

I don't think that vB has anything to get scared of... It certainly has one of the finest backend that I hav ever seen!

we were using invision in past and seeing the wonderful world of vbulletin shocked/thrilled me for a moment ;)

The very first time I laid eyes on a vBulletin 2.2.x Admin Control Panel, I was more than freaked out . Seeing all these Admin features that I had heard about .. :eek: , it was surreal ( i guess) .

I suppose for some, it was no surprise and they just jumped right on in :p (ie Zach ;))

I used the DEMO version, to see the control panel, it is SIMPLE! Almost anyone can use it.

Well since it was my first really "full control" bulletin board that's why it scared me. I in the past was used to things like Ezboard and so on, I had tried phpBB for like a month b4 coming to vBulletin..So yeah it did freak me out for sure...lmao

Exactly, Who never used any other board for them its complicated, but who used other board for them its kinda easy. And vb userfriendly :)

i was not scared i just had to figure out that there was 3 places that i needed to edit for the approprate desired action to take place after all you can always start fresh

It didn't scare me, but I was overwhelmed, I couldn't find some simple things at first, because I had no idea where I could expect to find it. But the vBulletin.com support staff was great and helped me with my newbie questions and after a day of jumping up and down of 'Oh, can it do that too?' I got the hang of it.
