This morning I was alerted to an issue with a single thread.
The thread appeared in new posts when I clicked the button and I could reply to it.
But in the forum it was posted in, it didn't appear at all. Even if I moved it to another forum, it remained invisible.
So I went and looked in the database and found that the Userid field was at 0. I manually set that to the proper userid and the post appeared properly in the forum.
This goes along with another issue I have were, randomly, some new users sign up and I can't view their profile at all in the admincp until I run the 'fix broken profiles'. I've run that and still found broken profiles.
Sounds like some kind of database corruption...and I have quite a few hacks installed...so reverting back to scratch isn't an immediate and first option.
Any ideas on what to do? or perhaps what php files I might try reverting back that may have an effect on the above problems?
I have run all the diagnostics, database repair and optimize options. The problem didn't clear up...but I have run them again this morning. We'll see where it goes...
and guidance would be appreciated.
