Hi guys and gals, I am new here but not to Vbulletin. I am having a problem and it seems no one is able to help me and I was pointed here to see if someone has had this problem.

A little about how I got to this problem. We changed servers and someone forgot to shut the board off before doing this and when it came back up, no one with Admin access was able to get into the admin area. What happens is we go to login and it will go to the thank you page and immediately refresh back to the login page, no errors or anything, just refreshes back to login.

We have run the tools.php page and tried everything we can on there, the cookie reset and all of it to no avail.

We can still delete threads and do everything else needed as an admin, BUT we can't get into the admin panel.....

Has anyone ever seen this problem before and if so, how does one go about fixing it? It's driving me and my host insane.

ANY help would be hugely appreciated.

If you run a certain version, like 3.6.8 for example or 3.7.3 ..

Then download that .zip file again, re-upload everything except install.php and config.php.new and config.php and the images/ directory.

Overwriting any files already there, do not skip or resume.

And try again.

Did this just start happening? Most of the time, login problems are mostly cookie related in my experience. Was this a fresh install, upgrade, or were any other changes made at all? There are only 2 possibility.

Its likely that you did not upload the vB files correctly so you need to re-upload (As what Floris pointed out) the vB admincp files to whichever directory you've established in config.php. Re-upload all the files except install.php and the images. Make sure you retain the directory structure of the zip file, that you re-upload the files to whatever Admin and Mod CP directories you've established in config.php, and that you overwrite the files on the server. Also make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server

Other then that, the only other cause I know of is you do not have the original vB files uploaded.

May I know who's the referral? The team from Jelsoft?
