I need a good portal system. My site is going to be focused on a Halo resource/clan resources/discussion site.

Which would be better to use with my vBulletin, 3.6.4. Subdreamer or vBadvanced.

Thanks for the help :D

Personally i would go with vBadvanced.
I use it myself, have never had a problem with it.

But you also might want to wait a bit, and take a look at this thread..

having used both, I think it's apples and oranges.

Subdreamer is fantastic at what it does and is one of the only CMS's that truly integrates with vB. However, the community isn't there so you better know how to code yourself if you want anything done. A lot of the skins, whilst visually appealing, are very niche related and A LOT of them aren't X-browser compatiable. The skins that are X-browser are usually HUGE. Case and point, the reason I dumped subdreamer for vBadvanced is because with the images/code/css for my subdreamer install, each impression was 'costing' me 500k. So, unless the enduser had a broadband connection, they could be waiting anywhere up to 100 seconds for a page to load.

I've since switched to vBadvanced and my pageload has gone down to 150k (header + tabbed naviagation + sponsor banners = big page!). The only 'complaint' I have with vbadvanced is that subdreamer was INCREDIBLY easy to use... I still don't have a clue on how to add custom pages/modules with vBa!

My opinion? If you expect your forums to grow and get busy, use vBa. If you have NO coding ability, use subdreamer.
