My pageranking sucks

I need to up it big-time, but i really dont know what else to do?

I really dont want to put ad's on my site, but i am willing to do anything else.

Any suggestions guys..

Ads hardly generate page rank. Page rank is your url on high ranking sites, linking back to yours. Over time you become more popular and get more people to link to you and pagerank will climb.
