Okay, here's the situation..
We've been running vBulletin for over a year now- first 3.0.8, then upgraded to 3.6.2 a little while ago.
The Site is on a godaddy shared hosting plan, we're using about 25-30gb/month in bandwidth, about 3% of the max.
Everything was running fine on the site, no problems, then roughly for the last month or 2 we've been having intermittent site slowdowns/outages (lots of timeout messages). Nothing has really changed in that time, about the same amount of active users (ranges from 10-60 on average) and stuff like that.. We've had well over 100 active users a few times in the past, site didn't have any issues then.
Generally the site is at its worst around 9:30AM through the Early Afternoon (2-4PM?), Eastern time in the US, which is also the peak usage. Generally 30-50 are on during those times- it never had any problems at all handling that in the past, it's only been an issue the last 1-2 months.
During the upgrade to 3.6.2 last week during the afternoon, even when nobody as on vb since it was shutdown, the admin/webmaster mentioned he experienced timeouts. Godaddy has been contacted quite a few times, we've been "elevated" and still we continue to get the same answer- There's absolutely nothing wrong on their end and it's the forum software... But since the problem is continuing after the software upgrade, that doesn't make sense.
Here are some stats incase it helps-
Currently Active Users: 49 (38 members and 11 guests)
Threads: 13,984, Posts: 282,350, Members: 3,701
and from the modCP:
11.92 14.05 14.67 | 50 Users Online (36 members and 14 guests)
I have a question that might help narrow down the issue:
how would I know what mySQL features vbulletin needs to work properly???
Also, is there any routine maintance.archiving that needs to be done that might contribute to the problem if it hasn't been done?
Thanks in advance!

thanks!
