Is it possible to stop members from taking images from my forum? Some of the members have posted photographs and I have just found out that another member has taken them and used them on their site without permission.

I'm hoping there would be someway of stopping this from happening again so if you have any idea's I'd be very grateful please?

You can use script I think but I don't know where you can find them !

No you can't stop this. You can stop remote linking, but not screenshots, etc.

Copyrights should be able to stop this. Contact their hosting provider that they are violating digital copyrights act and request them to support the law and remove the content.

The best thing for you to do would be for you to send out threatening lawsuits to defend your precious "intellectual property". Most people back down when they receive lawsuits, even when the lawsuits are frivolous or baseless.

May the man with the best team of lawyers win.

I'm pleased to say that I emailed the person concerned and they have now removed the stolen images and removed the slanderous message that they posted on their site. Just goes to show what you can do if you choose the right words..lol :D

glad it worked out :) in most cases they would ewither have ignored you or told you to leave them alone.

Anyone have a link to a site that's got the DCA text in a quick reference form? I keep haing to page through it in order to help people quote an approprate section.

1. If people are using print screen, really not much you can do except copyright.

2. If people are linking to attachments, make it so only registered with certain number of posts can view attachments. (this one REALLY works!)

3. Use the anti-right click script.

4. Find the offenders and warn them.

There are too many people on the nets so its going to be a problem, you SHOULD water mark the pictures if they are 100% yours. That can REALLY stop the stealing.
