Hey,

Like you guys may know, there's a few platform for hosting VPS.

1. Virtuozzo
2. XEN
3. Microsoft Virtual Server(or was it machine?)
4. The old FreeVPS.org

So which are your final choice of use, and what were your considerations? Like it's pros and cons?

I went with Virtuozzo this time around. I hadn't tried it before and it looked, 'nice'. I really don't like it as much as WHM/Cpanel, though it is much better looking graphically.

The backup utilities for Plesk/Virtuozzo are really bad in my opinion. It stores them on server and mime encoded. I recently lost data, and had to decoded the backup file for a million other smaller files, and it was a nightmare.

It isn't too hard to picup and use, but it seems they nest alot of the options. I was too used to finding exactly what I wanted in WHM, then in Virtuozzo you must dig from category to category of options.

It's not a bad platform in my opinion, but I don't think I would go with it again. The only thing I like better about it than WHM/Cpanel is the price is much cheaper.

I am not sure about rest (never used/tried) but using Virtuozzo @ servint with whm/cpanel and it rocks with minimal server loads.

I also use ServInt with WHM/cPanel , i love it there...
I use to host with Servermatrix, which was part of The Planet at the time, i was happy with them, but i just did/nt need a dedicated server anymore..

If in time i do, i am not sure if i would use ServInt, or The Planet..
