Did you just put a banner in the header or footer, or did you write a plugin to rotate between banners, do you use a zone-channel banner setup or perhaps phpads or some other software? Did you integrate it with vbulletin or does it come with integration api?

Let me know :)

I've used a few php / mysql free scripts off hotscripts before. never really integrated them, but it did the job with less server overhead than phpadsnew demands (that thing eats CPU time like crazy)

phpAdsNew, using an "inline" method of generating the advert code for the various "Zones". I use an "inline" method with the vBulletin hook system to get away from the JavaScript method which a lot of advert blockers manage to successfully block.

Regarding phpAdsNew being a CPU hog, it runs very nicely if you change the "_adviews" table to innodb to get around the row locking issues. Also means the reports can be run without locking the whole table and slowing down the advert displays.

I keep about 2 months worth of data for analysis and this works out at about 4 million rows in that table, weekly reports are usually enough for my advertisers and if they want "trend analysis" they can do it themselves off the weekly e-mails ;)

No banners yet on TNT :) I don't think I'll be using phpAdsNew when/if I do though, it's overkill IMO.

i just use css, easier an can control it, nothing to worry when upgrading vbulletin, as its just a few codes, but i dont like rotating adverts to much... i try to get 1 main sponser, maybe a few other little ones, for like footer...

example www.resellerclubtalk.com got the main advertisement at the top. and minor advertisements at the footer, been working for a good 5-6 months now..
