Hi everyone,
I'd like to introduce myself and www.xpmediacentre.com.au (http://www.xpmediacentre.com.au/)
We're a forum based independent site developed to cater for the increasing demand for local discussion and information about XP Media Center since it's release in Australia late last year.
We hope to build a user base who will learn together and be able to assist each other as this platform is taken up by more Aussies.
I started the site off in December with the open source SMF forum and decided quite quickly that I needed a more scalable solution to provide for growth, so after some testing and a lot of dry runs with Impex, this weekend I'll be porting the current forum across to VB. It's current test location is at here (http://www.xpmediacentre.com.au/community/)
I've still got to get my head around the forum permission setup with VB, it's quite different to others I've used in the past, but since we've gone from zero to 1500 posts and 170 members in about 5 weeks, I see no point in waiting until I've got thousands more to contend with and then risking a cave in. :p
Love the site and I look forward to learning a lot about VB from you guys.
Mike :)
