I would like to merge my banner with the Page Background as is done here on this forum, but have no idea where or how to go about that. I tried searching and did not find waht I was looking for.

Any help would be great.

Well, you will need an application like Photoshop or similar.

Then you will need to make sure that your banner fades to a solid colour. That will make putting it on your page a little easier.

The easiest option is to just a drop shadow, or put a stylish line around it. That way the border of the banner will be in sharpe contrast to the page but still look good.

I have photoshop. How can you know the size to make it so its the same as the forum you have at the time? I have my forum set up at 90% because everytime I try to do anything in pixels it makes the forum really wide :(

Hmm. Well the minimum resolution these days is 800 x 600. So as long as your banner is not bigger than say 750 pixels it should not give you ugly horizontal scroll bars.

More and more people now have 1024 wide screens, or bigger. But just to be on the safe side I would stick within the 800 pixel frame work.
