View Full Version : What's your PR and does it go up or down? Floris 8th September 2005, 08:37 PM Just like the title says :) You can check here: http://www.pagerank.net/ mf 8th September 2005, 08:53 PM http://mf.xrs.net has PageRank 2/10. http://mf.creations.nl has PageRank 2/10. http://www.mufunyo.net has PageRank 2/10. It used to be 5 :/ I wonder why it dropped. cabber 9th September 2005, 12:26 AM PR ? PR what ? my Personal Record is 245 with bowling, hahaha,.... PR :P Disjunto 9th September 2005, 11:24 PM bpgaming.com is 4/10 :D Isis 10th September 2005, 12:43 AM last year, my PR was up and down more times than a bloody yo yo. I think the highest it got was PR6. Now it's PR5 for the main page and it seems to be stuck there. philosophyweb 12th September 2005, 11:17 PM mine is stuck at pr2 Adrevel 17th September 2005, 01:25 AM :( My website's PR is 1, it used to be 4. I really have no clue what happened but it is a really big lose. Brian 5th August 2007, 12:18 PM I used to be on 6, to my surprise it now dropped to 3. :| Deathbyalfonzo 5th August 2007, 08:38 PM rscracked.com = 2/10 I never knew what it used to be. Brian 9th August 2007, 08:40 AM It's more difficult these days, and the benefits are not easily visible. Going up to PR 6 is pretty much a cruise but its beyond 6 that is really tough. I have a funny feeling it's not actually being used. MSN search was being easily fooled with title tags. Basically my forum threads were coming top for a variety of weird and wonderful searches, purely due to the title tag, and google is the same. I have a feeling they've dropped pagerank and the search results now lack a lot of the sophistication they used to have, given our PR of 10 hehe. Norman 16th August 2007, 08:08 PM http://www.web-city.it/forum/ has PageRank 3/10. :weebil: Sykko 22nd August 2007, 10:22 PM http://tehnoobs.com/forums/ = 0/10 http://tehnoobs.com/forums/showthread.php = 0/10 http://tehnoobs.com/ = 0/10 essentially my site sux :p but I do decent on the alexa ratings for a site of my size :D (when the drama doesnt chase everyone away for hours to days at a time) shalliday 20th October 2007, 05:33 PM http://www.allfordmustangs.com (http://www.allfordmustangs.com/) is 4. Used to be a 5 or 6 but recently dropped to a 4 even though traffic is up and the site continues to grow. Not sure why but would sure love to know what caused the drop. Sykko 14th January 2008, 04:01 AM they's days I am up to a PR of 2 Deviation 14th January 2008, 06:54 PM My sites are at a PR 5 without me trying. :) Just like the title says :) You can check here: http://www.pagerank.net/ Its best to use the Google toolbar for your PR. Some of those sites get close, but sometimes they miss by a bit. It's more difficult these days, and the benefits are not easily visible. Part of the issue is that most site owners just look to have a high PR instead of working on the most essential part of any good web site; content. Fresh, legit content is the best possible way to expose your site to the masses. If the site is organized and fresh, you'll have no issues getting traffic and therefore increasing your PR. The other piece that helps; backlinks. Legit, non-link farm backlinks. but I do decent on the alexa ratings for a site of my size :D (when the drama doesnt chase everyone away for hours to days at a time) Alexa is only good for graphs. They are worthless for any other information. You should rely on search tools to really dig deep and figure out your issues. kushal 15th January 2008, 06:06 PM I found that the biggest PR leek in one of my website was putting external site links into my website. It just leak out your PR. I added 'no follow' to all external links and my PR is getting back. Deviation 15th January 2008, 06:13 PM I found that the biggest PR leek in one of my website was putting external site links into my website. It just leak out your PR. I added 'no follow' to all external links and my PR is getting back. Externals links can be problems when you link to sites that aren't ranking well or are flagged a spam (link farms for instance). That's why you need to be careful who you link back to. kushal 15th January 2008, 06:15 PM I wish I knew this before I had a leek :) thanks! |
